Pocklington, 21 June 2025 – Helping Hands for Nepal is proud to announce its Fourth Annual Summer Artisan Market. It will take place on Saturday 21st June from 11am to 4pm at The Mile, Pocklington. This vibrant community event unites talented local makers and artisans. They come together in support of a vital cause—improving educational opportunities for children in rural Nepal.
Helping Hands for Nepal was founded in 2015 in response to the devastating earthquakes that struck Nepal. The organisation has worked tirelessly ever since to rebuild and improve the environments of schools across the country. The charity has constructed a school in the Himalayan foothills. It continues to provide ongoing support through donations of equipment and materials. These efforts help transform classrooms and offer better futures for hundreds of children.
This year’s Summer Artisan Market promises to be a fantastic day out for all the family. Alongside the wonderful artisan stalls, there will be plenty of activities for children. These include bouncy castles, fairground rides, a craft tent, and a tombola. There is also the unique opportunity to write a personal note to the children in Nepal. The team will hand-deliver these notes on their next visit.
The event is organised by a small group of local business people. They are passionate and volunteer their time and skills. Their aim is to make a lasting difference.
Entry is free, and all proceeds from stall bookings and on-the-day donations go directly to Helping Hands’ projects in Nepal.
Join us for a day of shopping, sunshine, and solidarity. Every buy and every smile helps build brighter futures for children who need it most.
