\u201cNyano Kaakh\u201d translates from Nepali to \u201cWarm Embrace\u201d<\/strong>. This is exactly what this small orphanage in the foothills of Nepal offers. It provides a safe, loving home for children. These children have lost everything. They then found sanctuary with an Earth Angel called Kalpana.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This simple but remarkable place is in a remote Himalayan village. It is nestled among the terraced hills and sweeping views. Nyano Kaakh<\/strong> is this place. Founded just four years ago, this small home is filled with warmth, colour, music, and resilience. It was created for children who have no parents, no resources, and are in need of love and care. Here, they find love, support, education, and a future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Home to 13 Resilient Children<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Today, 13 children<\/strong> live full-time at Nyano Kaakh. Some are orphans. Others come from extreme poverty, with no one able to care for them. They eat together, sleep under one roof, and grow up as siblings\u2014with laughter, lessons, and love. The home also supports 4 more children<\/strong>. These children come from very poor or single-parent households. They come during the day for food, education, and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This \u201cwarm embrace\u201d goes beyond shelter. It\u2019s a true community of healing and hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Daily Walk to a Distant School<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Each morning, the children walk 45 minutes<\/strong>, up and down steep, uneven paths, to the nearest school. Despite the tough journey, they go with determination and smiles. It’s not easy, and the school itself is far from ideal: classes are expensive, often inflexible and uninspiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But these children are thriving.<\/strong> Many are at the top of their class, outperforming their peers with the support of Nyano Kaakh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, we believe they deserve more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Dream for the Whole Village<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Kalpana, the devoted founder of Nyano Kaakh, holds a bigger vision:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A school that uplifts not just the 17 children Nyano Kaakh now supports. A school that uplifts the whole community of Kalicot and its children. A place that nurtures imagination, dignity, and opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Life Full of Colour and Creativity<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The walls of Nyano Kaakh are alive with art<\/strong>. It is created by the children<\/strong>. The paintings, drawings, and colourful decorations convey<\/span> joy and talent. There is even a small music room<\/strong> where they play drums and other instruments together, building rhythm, confidence, and unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside, there\u2019s a small vegetable garden<\/strong> where the children learn to grow corn. They also cultivate greens, a source of both food and of pride. Last year, the village got its first shop<\/strong>. This makes life a little easier for Kalpana and her team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women Supporting Women and Children<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Kalpana isn\u2019t alone. Two strong, compassionate women help her care for the children. One of them is a single mother, living at the orphanage with her own young son. She arranges delicious and nutritious meals each day. Together, they create a sense of family, holding space for the children to feel safe, valued, and seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nyano Kaakh receives no regular government support. It relies on the kindness of donors and friends around the world who believe every child deserves a chance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
