Our Helping Hands team will be returning to Nepal in 2026. We have a long shopping list for the children. Please consider being part of the change and donate to one (or more) of our virtual gifts. Wherever possible, we will buy your gifts in Nepal, supporting local economies and helping the children.
If you would like to make a real difference in the life of a child in Nepal, here are some ways you and your friends can help:
A child’s education as a Day Student costs £500 per year. This includes all books, notebooks, and pencils. It can be paid via a direct debit of £42 per month.
A school bench and writing desk set for four students cost £100
Two sets of uniforms for one child, including sports gear, cost £60 per year
To repaint a whole classroom costs £150

School uniforms are important, but not all families can afford the basics.
£30 will buy three pieces of school uniform for a child for a year. This includes a blouse or shirt, a skirt or trousers, and a branded sweatshirt.

Music is a great part of Nepalese school life:
Just £5 will buy a bazooka, bells, or a Tambourine.
£20 will buy a drum set

In Kathmandu, we are able to buy warm children’s coats cheaply and keep the funds in the country.
Just £9 will buy a child’s winter coat.
