There are many wonderful ways to help children in Nepal and improve their education. Thanks to our supporters and our fund raising efforts we were able to ask an amazing lady in Kathmandu to make school bags as gifts for the children.
The money you all helped us to raise was sent to Jayanti Karki in Kathmandu. She has made 80 waterproof rucksacks and added our Helping Hands For Nepal logo, in less than 3 weeks. Jayanti took out bank loans to pay the ladies who work in her cooperative to enable them to buy food for their families and pay their rent during the pandemic. The money raised for Nepal stayed in Nepal, and has given wonderful, hard working, empowered woman work.
The children in Semjong, 80 of them will get a waterproof bag to protect their school books .please support us in the work we gave to do to raise £10.000 to rebuild the school.
She has worked miracles to very quickly make enough bags for every child at Semjong School to start their new term with. The team at Helping Hands for Nepal are really pleased to see our logo on the bags. The children have also been gifted school books and stationery from Realhimalaya.com

We are very excited to soon see the children back at school with their new backpacks.
